UAB to collaborate with Cairo University

On 24 May a delegation from Cairo University visited UAB to sign new collaboration agreements in research and training between the two universities.

The agreement includes exchange programmes for teaching staff and students of UAB and Cairo University, as well as joint organisation tasks for workshops and training programmes, research projects and academic courses. The agreement, which has an initial term of three years, opens a new line of international collaborations between UAB and Egypt.

The accord was signed by Mercedes Unzeta, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Din Omar Abo Steet, Vice-Chancellor of Cairo University. Among other members, the delegation visiting UAB was formed by Hassan Imad, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, and Jordi Torrent, representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. Representing UAB were Josep Maria Català, Dean of the Faculty of Communications Studies; and Santiago Tejedor, Vice Dean of Students and Teaching Staff at the Faculty of Communications Studies; and José Manuel Pérez Tornero, Director of the Department of Journalism and Communications Studies.
