The inauguration took place at 1 pm at the Plaça Cívica with performances and and the presentation of what aims to be this year's logo "No em toquis la UAB". Different cultural and leisure activities were offered at the Plaça Cívica until 6 pm. Performances were offered by the UAB Choir, the Aula de Dansa and the castellers Ganàpies, as well as competitions in magic, softcombat, karaoke, and films and conferences.

The UAB Solidarity Foundation (Fundació Autònoma Solidaria) played an important role in organising the conference "Tú sí que vales" on international volunteering, a gymkhana and street performances. The FAS also set up a stand at the Festa Major to inform about health issues.

The other part of the celebrations was held at the northern part of the campus, the Rambla Nord, where university members could enjoy rock, ska, hip-hop and funk music concerts, as well as DJs, until 11 pm. Several student associations also participated with stands dedicated to different social and cultural organisations. This year all stands collaborated in selling the UAB T-shirt "No em toquis la UAB" to members of the university community.

UAB aimed to make its annual celebration a more sustainable, healthy and safe event. As every year, it offered recyclable products to be used during the festival and provided emergency health services areas for attendants.
