Both institutions will foster the signing of specific agreements between Indra and different UAB research groups, as well as develop joint research projects in different lines, including those associated with the aeronautic sector. At the same time, they aim to enhance academic relations with the aim of offering seminars and training sessions, sharing experiences, and broadening mobility for UAB lecturers and graduate students to participate and study in research projects conducted at Indra.

This agreement sets a stable collaboration framework and strengthens the relations between the multinational company and the UAB, which has been collaborating with various R&D&I projects, particularly in the aerospace sector, since 2007. Indra is one of the members of UAB's Cluster of Technological Innovation in Aeronautical Management, one of the most important projects under the UAB Campus of International Excellence, together with associations such as BAIE (Barcelona Aeronautics & Space Association) and other leading firms from the sector.

The university as a source of innovation and talent

Indra participates in this initiative as part of its commitment to innovation, the basis of its business and axis of its sustainability as a firm. Under its open model of innovation, the firm encourages and promotes internal innovation as well as strong bonds with clients, partners, suppliers, universities and centres of knowledge, as well as society in general.

For the multinational firm, university is an essential source of knowledge that helps it maintain its commitment to innovation. For this reason it works with over 200 universities and research centres, mainly through professorships, agreements and R&D projects.
