Two UAB centres score high in TOP 20 Hospitals

The Puigvert Foundation of the Hospital of Sant Pau and the health corporation Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí of the Hospital of Sabadell, two UAB-affiliated centres, score high in this year's TOP 20 ranking of hospitals.

Iasist, a professional service company for health care providers, recently presented the results of the twelfth edition of TOP 20 Hospitals. In this year's edition 163 centres (126 from the National health service and 37 private centres) participated.

In addition to assessing the overall management of the hospital, the ranking analysed six specific and extremely relevant clinical areas of the hospital: the nervous system, the respiratory system, heart, digestive surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics, and woman's health. Each of these areas were assessed taking into account specific hospital care processes.

The Research Institute of the Hospital of Santa Creu and Sant Pau, the Puigvert Foundation and the Parc Taulí Foundation University Institute are members of the UAB Sphere's hospital unit. UAB carries out both academic training and scientific research tasks in these affiliated health institutions.
