Two researchers from the UAB Department of Physics, co-author of a book on Quantum Simulators

Two researchers from the UAB Department of Physics, coauthors of the first book exclusively dedicated to the concept of quantum simulations of many body systems and their possible realizations in ultracold atoms.

Two researchers at the Department of Physics at the UAB, Anna Sanpera (ICREA researcher) and Veronica Ahufinger, co-authored with Maciej Lewenstein (ICFO, Institute of Photonic Sciences) of the first book completely dedicated to the concept of quantum simulators for many-body systems and possible realizations with ultracold atoms. The book, published by Oxford University Press, covers everything from fundamental concepts of statistical mechanics and quantum optics to extensive descriptions of theoretical methods and case studies of ultracold spinor gases, dipole or frustrated. The book also provides the foundations of quantum information theory and its relationship to many-body physics, both in theoretical terms as possible implementations.
