The UAB strengthens its position in the Times Higher Education ranking

This year's edition of the Times Higher Education ranking places the UAB in 170th position among the top universities from around the world, 12 points higher than last year's ranking. The UAB also strengthens its position in four of the analysed areas (teaching, research, internationalisation and knowledge transfer) and maintains its position in research article citations.

In the recently published latest edition of the Times Higher Education World Rankings, the UAB rises 12 points in comparison to last year's results and is now located in 170th position worldwide and 75th in Europe. With regard to the universities analysed in Spain, the UAB continues to rank second.

By areas, the UAB improves in 4 of the 5 sections analysed (teaching, research, internationalisation and knowledge transfer) and maintains its position in article citations.

The Times Higher Education World University Ranking, which was first pulished in 2001, evaluates nearly 1,400 universities from 92 different countries. Its evaluation is based on thirteen indicators which assess the activities taking place at higher education centres in all of their dimensions; academic, research, knowledge transfer and internationalisation.

In this year's edition, the three top universities are the University of Oxford, the California Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
