On Monday 26 February at 11:30 p.m. the UAB Cinema Hall will offer a film forum with the screening of the documentary La Reparación, directed by Alejandra Perdomo.

Paraula Abusador escrita sobre cartró

This activity aims to reflect on a taboo issue related to sexual violence against children, which mainly occurs within the family environment.

The film forum forms part of the project "SexAFIN, sexualitatats i infàncies (AFIN-UAB)", a research-action project which aims to discover and ask children, and their educational community, what they know about sexualities. One of the results of the project is that children are considered by society to be asexual and, therefore, mixing sexuality and children is tantamount to talking about sexual abuse.

The activity also forms part of the subject in Anthropological Analysis of the Contemporary World from the bachelor's degree in Anthropology, and serves to work on the frontiers between what is private and what is public by asking ourselves how to provide protection within a context of sexual intimacy and taboo.

The film forum will include a victim of sexual abuse, the director of the documentary, Alejandra Perdomo, and members of the SexAFIN project. Entrance is free, but limited to the capacity of the cinema hall.
