The UAB commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on 11 December an event consisting of a conference and the award ceremony of the Impuls scholarships will take place.

On Tuesday 11 December at 12:30 pm at the Sala Teatre, the UAB will commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The 3rd of December is established by the UN as an international day to reclaim equality for people with disabilities. The goal of establishing this day is to give visibility and promote the inclusion of everyone in the development of society.

For this reason, we are participating in the celebration of this day. On 11 December we celebrate an event on the occasion of the 3rd of December. On this occasion, the commemoration will be presented by Sara Moreno, Vice-rector for Students and Employability. Next, the award ceremony of the Impuls scholarships will take place thanks to Gabriel Masfurroll, President of the Social Council. After this, Arnau Panicot, who received a scholarship by this promotion program for students with disabilities, will share his university experience.

The event will conclude with a conference by professor Josep Maria Sanahuja Gavaldà, director of the Centre d'Estudis i Recerca per una Societat Inclusiva, titled "Reptes per avançar per una universitat inclusiva" ("Challenges to advance towards an inclusive university").
