The UAB at the Ensenyament and Futura education fairs

The UAB is once more taking part in the Saló de l’Ensenyament (from 12 to 16 March), which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. The university will also be at the 11th edition of the "Futura" Show (14 and 15 March) to present its master's degrees and postgraduate programmes. At both education fairs the UAB will inform visitors on the academic courses available at the university, including all new offers for the following academic year. The Student Week has been organised by the Fira de Barcelona and will take place at the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre.

The Saló de l’Ensenyament, now in its 25th edition, is being held from 12 to 16 March from 10h to 19h (except on the 16th, when it will only be open till 14h) at Hall 2 of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. There will be information on university and other higher education courses, vocational training, language courses, and secondary education, among others. The UAB will be at stand 632 (Pavilion 2, Street F).

The Saló de l’Ensenyament receives over 75,000 visitors every year, looking for information on available study options. The UAB will be presenting five new double degrees for the 2014/15 academic year, which will add to the growing list of already existing double degrees of great interest amongst students, and the new degree in Economics, offered fully in English. The new academic offer includes:

- Applied Statistics + Sociology
- Law + Criminology
- Law + Industrial Relations
- Early Childhood Education + Primary Education
- Automation and Industrial Electronic Engineering + Mechanical Engineering.
- Economics in English

In addition to offering information on the UAB, several activities will be offered by the university's lecturers and researchers at the Science Area, also located in Hall 2. On 12 March there will be experiments related to the world of physics; on 13 March will be the day of biosciences; on 14 March the day will be dedicated to food technology and science; on the 15th there will be several engineering activities; and on 16 March, the education fair will end with an activity proposed by the Computer Vision Centre.

The "Futura" Master's and Postgraduate Exhibition will be holding its 11th edition on 14 and 15 March, from 10 am to 8 pm, at Hall 5 of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. The UAB will be informing about its postgraduate course offer at stand 214 (Pavilion 5, Street B). Last year, the Futura education fair received over 6,500 visitors, 90% of who were university students. Over 3,000 students passed by the UAB stand, interested in the master's degrees, postgraduate courses and PhD programmes offered.
