Technologies play a key role in each and every one of the translation and localization phases. The Tradumàtica Translation Technologies Summer School is an intensive course aimed at a deep understanding of how translation can benefit from the use of advanced technologies whilst providing an easier access to the labour market and at the same time helping the development of a critical perspective towards the mentioned technologies.

This year the course will be held fully online from June 7th to the 25th. Registration is already open; however, places are limited. All courses will be held in English and course hours are provided according to Central European Summer Time (CEST), in other words, the time zone which Barcelona belongs to.

Various types of workflows are included in the course, i.e. Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT), Machine Translation (MT) and localisation (computer games, mobile apps, images, software and web). Furthermore, the course touches upon contents such as active job search and business management. Learning about all the technologies involved in the translation process is the central idea of the course’s programme.
