The new reading room: anywhere, anytime

The Social Sciences considers the use of the new technologies is very important to improve the services which it brings. Therefore, the emergence of QR codes, a new system to store information, should be used to approximate and facilitate the access to the e-books about some subjects that are provided by the UAB Libraries Service.

Thus, from July you can see QR codes on the shelves on floors 0 and -2, at the beginning of some call numbers and next to the books about a specific subject. So, you can access to the physical and electronic books about this subject at the same time.

The on-site exhibition, located in one of the outside exhibitors of the library (corridor between Faculties of Law and Economics & Business Studies), shows the new service through an artistical representation.
