The first semester of Tandem comes to its end with the Tió de Nadal celebration
Local and international students, that have attended the activities promoted to interact with each other throughout the academic year, say goodbye by celebrating the Catalan tradition Tió de Nadal. This happened in the last Tandem activity until February.

Foods from different countries were an example of how was the first Tandem of the year. Several Asian dishes, some of them very spicy, arouse laughter among the students. But there also were Italian and South American dishes, and Catalan food, such as pa amb tomàquet, truita de patates, and fuet.
That was a real cultural mix. For dessert, it could not be otherwise, they had Catalan Christmas sweets, such as neules and nougat, brought by their mentors. Everything was ready to celebrate the Tió de Nadal.
For now, there will not be Tandem activities until the beginning of 2020, when the mentors will receive new international students. With them, these meetings, games and other activities will be established again, every Wednesday, open for everyone willing to participate.
