The ALBA Synchrotron opens the first call for experiments
Researchers have until 4 November to present their proposals. The chosen experiments will be done from April to December 2014 at ALBA's seven beamlines.

The proposals must include a 300-word summary and a description of the experiment. In this edition, no long-term projects will be accepted and the proposals related to the area of protein crystallography (BL-13 XALOC) with more than two main researchers must be presented under the Block Allocation Group.
Once the technical feasibility is confirmed, the proposals will be evaluated by a panel of international researchers from different fields. This panel will decide the ranking of proposals according to their scientific excellence.
The final list of candidates will be announced in March 2014.
