Tandem programme goes to the movies

Cicle cinema programa tàndem
Want to laugh until you cry and practise languages at the same time? Then come to the tandem programme next Wednesday! We will be screening the movie Death at a Funeral in the UAB Sala d’Actes.

21/11/2016

The tandem programme offers the chance to practise languages through several activities for students. One of these activities is the screening of foreign-language films with subtitles in the same language. There are two movie sessions each semester, one with a film in English and one with a film in Spanish. This activity is organized by Community Involvement and the Servei de Llengües and will be open to everyone in the university community (free admission).

This Wednesday we will be showing Death at a Funeral, a hilarious British black comedy. After the film, which will be shown in English, a professor from the Servei de Llengües will chair a discussion about the movie and the language used in it. The activity will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sala d’Actes of the l’Àgora building.

You can attend tandem activities every week: every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sala d’Actes of the l’Àgora building and every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation, and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Faculty of Education. The idea of tandem is to provide somewhere to practice languages and meet new people. Come and join us!
