Sergi Figueres, a leading figure in social entrepreneurship, will talk about his trajectory in a conference at the UAB
UAB alumnus Sergi Figueres is co-founder and CEO of Worldcoo, one of the first companies to offer a solidarity round-off when paying in stores. He will talk about this project and his trajectory as an entrepreneur in a new series entitled Conferències d’Emprenedors/es TOP, exclusively open to UAB students and alumni. The conference will take place on Tuesday 18 April at 1 p.m. at the UAB-Emprèn Area, located at the Plaça Cívica.
An opportunity to learn about his experiences first-hand and do networking
Sergi Figueres, a national and international figure in social entrepreneurship as the co-founder ad CEO of Wordlcoo, will be the guest speaker at the next conference of the UAB-Emprèn programme's series on Conferències d’Emprenedors/es TOP [Conferences by TOP Entrepreneurs]. The activity will allow attendants to discover his entrepreneurial experiences first-hand and spend some time networking together with the aim of gaining new knowledge and discovering skills needed in the area of ideas generation and entrepreneurship.
Figueres, a UAB alumnus, began his professional career while he was studying the joint bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Law, which he graduated from in 2008. In 2012, he created Worldcoo, a company which offers funding to NGO projects through socially committed businesses, which offer their clients the possibility of rounding-off their purchases with a few more cents that are then donated to social projects.
The conference will take place at the UAB-Emprèn Area, located at the Plaça Cívica on the first floor of the Building RR, on top of the restaurant.
