On June 11, 2018, the agreement was signed with the aim of responding to the needs for advice and support that women suffering from gender-based violence who are part of the UAB university community may have.

The agreement provides for a referral circuit for cases detected and treated at the UAB Psycho-gender Unit (where initial reception and care is provided), the Information, Care and Resources Centre for Women (CIARD) of the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council where a specialized therapeutic follow-up is carried out).

The agreement also establishes the need to set up a Monitoring Committee, made up of representatives from each of the three institutions and with the aim of monitoring and evaluating the collaboration, as well as the different processes, and proposing and working on new processes aimed at fulfilling the objective of the agreement.

After two years of application of the agreement, the three entities have shown a firm commitment to continue working on the established circuit as well as to continue to evaluate and monitor it through this workspace. Combating gender-based violence is a priority goal of the three institutions.
