Professors invited to teach at Georgetown University

The call is addressed to experts with ample experience in teaching and research in the fields of political science and administration, in international relations, history, economy, sociology, or in the humanities. The selected candidate will take part in an academic programme comprising three undergraduate courses and one postgraduate course at Georgetown.
The selection committee will present Georgetown with a proposal of three final candidates. Of these three candidates, the university will choose the person who will be joining the BMW Center for German and European Studies at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Candidates must demonstrate to have sufficient English skills to carry out their academic activities in the US. The committee will put special emphasis on the professorship of the candidates.
The selected candidate will spend a year at Georgetown, from August 2012 to June 2013, with the possibility of staying on an additional year. The candidate will receive 52,000 dollars from the Endesa Foundation and an annual salary of 44,000 dollars from Georgetown University. In addition, all travel expenses will be paid and an additional 6,000 dollars will got to any academic or research travels made within the United States. Applications may be submitted until 31 October.
This initiative is made possible thanks to an agreement between the Spanish Ministry for Education, the Spanish Embassy in US and Endesa.
