Presentation of Shakespeare in Catalan

Helena Buffery, author of the book, will be talking about her views on Shakespeare's influence on the Catalan culture in conversation with Dolors Udina, translator of the work. The presentation will take place at on Thursday 19 May at 1 pm at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.

The presentation, organised by the Research Group in Contemporary Catalan Translation (GETCC), will take place from 1 to 3 pm in Room 27 of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.
 
Helena Buffery, author of the book, specialises in Hispanic Studies and is currently lecturer at University College Cork.
 
The book Shakespeare in Catalan talks of the reception of Shakespeare in Catalonia and studies the influence he had in Catalan cultural regeneration since the nineteenth century and his contribution to contemporary Catalan culture.
