The UAB research team leading the Neosetac (New Selenium-based Targeted Nanocapsules to treat Breast Cancer) project has organised an online seminar on 7 July to discuss cancer-fighting therapies. Registration is required to attend.

03/07/2020

The seminar will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include the participation of European experts who will speak on the different aspects related to current cancer treatments. These therapies focus on specific molecules within the organism which take part in the growth and spreading of cancer cells and are considered key components of precision medicine.

This is the third seminar organised by Neosetac, a project whose objective is to develop a new selenium-based nanodrug therapy to treat breast cancer. Coordinated by Manuel Valiente, lecturer of the Department of Chemistry and director of the Chemistry Separation Techniques Group (GTS) at the UAB, the project is a public-private collaboration among three research institutions and two firms from Austria, Sweden and Spain. It is financed by the European Union (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017-GA778325).

This free, online seminar is addressed mainly to the scientific community. Al those interested must sign up first.
