New work placements at the Government of Catalonia's delegation in Geneva

The stay will last a maximum of three months, may be curricular or extracurricular, and will take place during the next 2023/24 academic year. The required studies are in Political Science, Communication and/or International Relations.

The Government of Catalonia's delegation in Switzerland offers four work placements in its Geneva office. The stay can take place between September 2023 and June 2024, although there is also the possibility of doing the work placement in the summer months. Candidates must dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the maximum length of the stay is three months (in accordance with Swiss regulations).

The selected candidates will participate in all regular delegation activities. They will assist in tasks conducted by the technical team in both bilateral and multilateral relations by monitoring current events, searching for information, and drafting notes and reports. The objective is for students to have a transversal vision of the tasks conducted at the delegation.

Candidates must have a B1-B2 level of French and a B2 level of English. Knowledge of other languages such as German or Italian will also be positively valued.

The work placements are not remunerated, but those selected can apply for a grant from the Erasmus+ Traineeship programmeThose interested in applying for a grant should apply for a work placement starting in or after October 2023 so that they have time to appy for the 2023-2024 grant call for work placements abroad.

Each candidate should specify the work placement period they are interested in and their level of French and English, either in the e-mail message or in their cover letter.

It is also recommended that students contact their teaching centre or the UAB's Exchange Programmes Office to verify the types of work placements they can enrol in according to their studies (curricular or extracurricular).
