New UAB programme to promote entrepreneurship

Nou programa de la UAB per impulsar l’emprenedoria

The UAB offers a new programme entitled UAB Emprèn, aimed at helping future entrepreneurs generate and conceptualise ideas based on interactions with people, stimulating creativity and working in groups. The programme is addressed to all of the university community and brings together all education actions of entrepreneurship - one of the priorities of Europe 2020 - carried out on campus. It responds to the interest of the University to contribute to the social and economic development of the region.

The programme covers entrepreneurial training, dissemination and promotion activities organised by the different entities and services at the UAB and members of the UAB Entrepreneurship Network; support and assessment services addressed to members of the university community interested in starting up or participating in an entrepreneurial project in any area of knowledge and a set of useful informative resources for entrepreneurs.

UAB Emprèn aims to go beyond the individualistic approach of entrepreneurs and encourage the creation of teams and the possibility of coworking and exchanging experiences. With this aim in mind, two coworking areas have been made available at the ETC building and at the Eureka building. The latter one is open only to researchers, where participants will be able to develop their ideas and projects.
