New Nanoscience and Nanotechnology NiN laboratory

03/12/2013
The Department of Physics' new Nanoscience and Nanotechnology teaching laboratory was presented at the start of December. It is located on the third floor of the C5 Tower at the Faculty of Science. The initiative which led to the design and adaptation of the new laboratory forms part of the laboratory updating project of the Campus for International Excellence 2010 call. The purpose of these updates is to steer towards a laboratory model based on sustainability criteria, with maximum guarantees in safety, ergonomics and usability, and at the same time with an innovative and multifunctional design.
The new NiN laboratory can be adjusted according to needs, with the majority of elements being mobile, including tables, service conductors (gas, cables, liquids), and exhaust hood. This makes it easier for the same laboratory to be turned into a lecturing room or a showroom where demonstrations can be carried out.
