New calls for Solidarity Fund are announced

The UAB Solidarity Fund gives support to university cooperation actions with Southern countries and education activities aiming for the development of the UAB promoted by the university community

The foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) has published the regulatory basis of the two UAB Solidarity Fund calls. One call (E2019-2020) is addressed to UAB postgraduate students, master students, or PhD, and the other one (FSXXXVII) to administrative and service staff and teaching and research staff. Each call has two courses of action. One aims Southern countries and the other one aims to promote awareness-raising activities for global justice addressed to the university community.

If possible, projects in the first course of action must be cooperation projects between universities concerning the enhancement of teaching quality and developing the research skills of Southern countries. The goals of these projects can include the improvement of the universities management of the two sides.

The awareness-raising activities for global justice of the second course of action must be carried out at the UAB and they have to help to create critical awareness about the social injustice and provide tools for its transformation. The objective of these activities is to create a university community active in politics and socially committed to a fair, equal and sustainable development.

The period for the submission of applications ConvocatòriaXXXVII PDI and UAB Solidarity Fund will open on January 7, 2020 and close on March 12, 2020. As for the E2019-2020 students UAB Solidarity Funds will open the day January 7, 2020 and will end on March 26, 2020. The proposal will be assessed by experts in the field of University Cooperation for Global Justice. Based on the reports made by the evaluators and the guidelines of the International Relations Commission and the Linguistic Politic, the president of the foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidària will be in charge of choosing an application on behave of the patronage of the entity.
