New call for predoctoral research grants

UAB departments open their fifth call for predoctoral research grants for staff in training. The trainee research staff will be incorporated in doctoral or official master's programmes offered by the UAB for the purpose of writing their doctoral theses. Deadline for applications is 18 May 2009.

At the time the grant is awarded, candidates must be in possession of a degree, an engineering or architecture degree, or an equivalent degree certificate from a foreign university system. Beneficiaries of the grants must enrol in one of UAB's official master's degree or doctoral programmes.

The duration of the grant period is 4 years (48 months). The amount of the grants for the first stage is €12,334 gross per annum, and €17,329 gross per annum for the second stage. Applications must be submitted between 23 April and 18 May 2009.

The publication of provisional lists will take place on 2 July 2009. The final lists will be published on 16 July 2009.
