Meeting of International Experts in Adoption, Reception and Assisted Reproduction

The UAB research group Adoptions, Families, Children (AFIN) organised for 25 and 26 November the Fifth International Conference to discuss these issues. The conference is entitled "The Triad of Adoption, Reception and Assisted Reproduction: the role of the family of origin" will take place at the CSIC Researchers Residence Hall (C/ Hospital 64, Barcelona).

The international meeting will include the participation of experts in adoption processes such as Barbara Yngvesson, social anthropologist at Hampshire College, Massachusetts; Riitta Högbacka, from the Department of Social Research of the University of Helsinki, Finland, who is working on a research project with adoptive families from Finland and biological mothers from South Africa; Nadine Lefaucheur from the Université des Antilles et de la Guyane; Paloma Gay y Blasco from the University of Saint Andrews, Scotland; Zhang Zhong, former director of the Chinese adoption Centre and director of the China Social Welfare Education Foundation; and many others.
