Matthias M. Tischler, Elected as a Member of the Academia Europaea
ICREA Research Professor at the UAB's Department of Antiquity and Middle Age Matthias M. Tischler has been elected a member of the prestigious Academia Europaea as member of the “History and Archeology” section.

Matthias M. Tischler has been working at the UAB since 2017. His studies studies are raising the question about the geographical, linguistic, religious, cultural and mental borders of the multi-layered legacy in the centres and peripheries of the Medieval Worlds.
The Academia Europaea is the pan-European Academy of Humanities, Letters, Law, and Sciences. It was founded in 1988 as the functioning Europe-wide Academy that encompasses all fields of scholarly inquiry. It acts as co-ordinator of European interests in national research agencies.
