Mariona Lozano will defend her doctoral dissertation in April

The 12th of April of 2013, PhD student Mariona Lozano will read her doctoral dissertation "Career paths of immigrant workers in Spain. Barriers and shortcuts in their employment".

This dissertation aims to study immigrants’ economic integration into the Spanish labour market, by tracking their occupational trajectories. Trajectories are defined through immigrant workers’ occupational mobility and wage convergence between them and locally-born workers. Results suggest an incomplete process of integration, finding structural and individual factors which constitute different integration paths.
