The Humanities Library receives donation of the library of Professor Kurt Hübner

Kurt Hübner, born 1 September 1921 in Prague and died on 8 February 2013 in Kiel, was professor of philosophy at the universities of Berlin and Kiel. Among his numerous publications that deal with the myth, philosophy of art and music, and philosophy of religion. His most significant book was Wissenschaftlich Kritik der Vernunft (translated into several languages​, including Spanish : Crítica de la razón científica) where Hübner developed his theory of science.

The library of Kurt Hübner, which comprises approximately 2,000 specialized books of philosophy, has been bequeathed to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for their family, on the initiative of UAB researchers Alexander Fidora, Thomas Sturm and Matthias M. Tischler, with the collaboration of the Department of Sciences of Antiquity and the Middle Ages, the Department of Philosophy, The Humanities Library and FFI 2011-23545 MICINN project, led by ICREA Professor A. Fidora.
