Do you want to improve the quality of life and help socially integrate persons deprived of their freedom? Then why not participate this summer as a volunteer in the FAS Justice Programme?

Voluntariat Justícia

The FAS Justice Programme invites all those interested to form part of its volunteering programme with activities offered in summer for prisoners in different penitenciary centres. This volunteering programme is an enriching experience and an opportunity to learn more about life in penitenciary centres, as well as to provide a breathe of fresh air to people deprived of their freedom.

There are different activities programmed: entertainment, sports, leisure, well-being, cultural, artistic and/or horticulture, and will take place at the penitenciary centres Quatre Camins, Brians I and Brians II. Volunteers must be able to go twice a week to one of the centres, mornings or afternoons, or even twice in one day. Most activities will consist of 8 to 10 sessions, lasting 2 hours each, and will take place in July. There is also the option of beginning the activity at the end of June and, in specific cases, continuing the activity throughout the month of August.

Volunteers will need to be in some way related to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and preferibly, be related to the faculties of Psychology, Arts & Humanities, Education or Law. Preference will be given to those who have their own vehicle with which to reach the penitenciary centre.

All volunteers will receive a training course and support while they conduct their activity, as well as be able to validate their volunteering hours with ECTS credits.
