Galician and Catalan courses, February - June, 2012

UAB Idiomes Barcelona is pleased to announce new Galician courses and advanced level bimodal courses in Catalan.

Galician courses
UAB Idiomes Barcelona now offers Galician language courses aimed at anyone wanting to obtain a solid grounding in Galician at beginner (A2), intermediate (B1, B2) or advanced (C1) levels, or wanting to prepare for the exam leading to the officially recognised certificate (Celga 1, 2, 3, or 4). The exam will be held at UAB Idiomes Barcelona in June, 2012. The course consists of 46 classroom hours (42 for teaching and 4 for assessment) and 100 study hours. Those who pass the course are entitled to a certificate of their level and one for the recognition of 4 ECTS credits. The official certificate will be issued on passing the Certificado en lingua galega (Celga) exam.
The enrolment period opens on Monday 16th January and closes on Wednesday 15th February. The courses begin on Monday 20th February and end on Wednesday 6th June.

Catalan courses
A new round of Catalan courses is now open for those with a good intermediate level in Catalan and who want to prepare for the advanced level exam. This bimodal course consists of four two-hour classroom sessions plus online tutoring using the UAB blogs. It is 50 hours long (8 in the classroom, 38 self-study and 4 for assessment). Attendance at the four classroom sessions is compulsory for those intending to take the CIFOLC exam. The exam will be held on the UAB campus between the end of May and the beginning of June, 2012. To do this course you need to take a level test unless you have the Certificate of Proficiency in Catalan (C) or equivalent.
The enrolment period starts on Monday 23rd January and closes on Friday 17th February. The courses begin on Tuesday 13th March and ends on Saturday 19th May.
