From the FTI we want to express our condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria
On 2 March 2023, the Faculty of Translation commemorated the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria with a minute of silence in front of the faculty. Students and faculty members from Turkey and Syria also participated to express their feeling about this disaster.

These series of 4 large earthquakes killed more than 50.000 people and left more than 20 million people without a home. The survivors are currently trying to live in tents and they will need to sustain their lives in these tents for more than a year. There is still limited infrastructure for electricity, water and other needs. You can support the survivors by donating to the NGOs listed here.
