First Edition of the Official Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting (MUIC)
This two-year postgraduate course in Conference Interpreting affords students the opportunity to acquire professional skills and strategies to become professional interpreters.
This two-year postgraduate course in Conference Interpreting affords students the opportunity to acquire professional skills and strategies in an environment which bridges the gap between interpreter training and the demands of real-life professional interpreting.
The new Master in Conference Interpreting receives support and pedagogical assistance from the European Institutions (Commission and Parliament), as well as cooperates with the universities outreach programme of the United Nations Interpretation Service and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
MUIC has signed a cooperation agreement with AIB (Agrupación de Intérpretes de Barcelona), under which the Master's students receive mentoring from the association's members.
The course is delivered by a team of experienced interpreter trainers. All the course teachers are practising professional interpreters with extensive and varied expertise in the private freelance interpreting market, who are active members of AIIC and/or accredited by the various national and international institutions.
