Everything is ready for the Eco fair

On Wednesday, March 18th, in the morning, the Eco fair will take place, organized by foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidària, the UAB Ecologist Assembly, the Environmental Office and Dinamització Comunitària department. From 12 pm to 4 pm, in Plaça Cívica there will be lots of aware-raising activities about the current climate situation.

Next Wednesday, March 18th, various university entities and departments have organized an ecologic fair full of activities to make people understand and be aware of the current climate issue.

Foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS), the Environmental Office, the UAB Ecologist Assembly and Dinamització Comunitària department are the entities and departments organizers of the different stands we will find there.

FAS, for instance, will set a second-hand market, for which it has been picking up clothes during weeks. The intent is “to reuse clothes that otherwise would have been wasted”. Most of the clothes will have a symbolic price and the money collected will be donated to an NGO.

On the other hand, the Ecologist Assembly, at its stand, will explain alternatives to consumerism and capitalism witha lower environmental impact, towards which, they say, "We must aspire to contain the climate crisis and generate environmental resilience".

There will also be stands for Hortet de l’Autònoma, Recicla Cultura, SETEM, among many others. The fair will be accompanied by various musical performances throughout the day. You can see all the activities planned in the promotional poster.
