Eva Anduiza, Maria Freixanet and Margarita León create a podcast on the future of feminism
Eva Anduiza and Margarita León, professors in the UAB Department of Political Science and Public Law, and Maria Freixanet, researcher at the Institute for Political and Social Sciences, recently created the podcast on feminism entitled: ¿Seguimos hablando de feminismo? Starting on 7 march, the podcast will talk about the future of feminism as seen from different viewpoints. The programmes will be available on Spotify.
The new podcast is conceived as a space to delve into different aspects of this issue. Among the topics to be discussed are the division within the feminist movement and its motives, equality and diversity as political demands, the different manifestations of sexism in today's societies, abortion and reproductive rights, and the scourge of male violence.
The different episodes will be hosted by political scientists and communicators Yanina Welp and Franco Delle Donne. This podcast is based on the contents of the UAB's MOOC (massive open online course) Feminism, Gender and Politics, which Anduiza, Freixanet and León teach on the Coursera platform and which deals with everything from fundamental concepts on the subject to specific aspects of inequality between men and women in the field of politics.
