The School for a Culture of Peace and Casa del Tibet, with the support of the Barcelona City Council International Cooperation, organise this event under the Tibetan Festival's 3rd Cycle for Non-Violence.

The third edition of the Cycle for Non-Violence aims to unite experiences lived by people fighting for peace through different artistic expressions found in the Tibetan culture. The cycle includes concerts, films and especially conferences presented by leaders of the Uyghur and Tibetan causes, such as Uyghur political activist Rebiya Kadeer; Jetsun Pema, sister of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. and Tempa Tsering, minister of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile and representative of the Dalai Lama in New Delhi.

All programme activities will be offered at Casa del Tiber in Barcelona, except for the conference by Jetsun Pema entitled "Challenges Facing Education in Exile", which will take place at UAB.

For over 42 years, Jetsun Pema was at the head of the Tibetan Children's Village, an organisation whose mission is to offer care and education to Tibetan children in exile with the aim of preserving the Tibetan culture through an educational system based on the spiritual, cultural and physical development of its pupils.
