The play is a production that explores the limits of creativity and identity in the age of artificial intelligence. It was written by Jaume C. Pons Alorda and Arnau Vidal, and actors will include Berta Medico, Alba Díaz, Joan Tornel and Cristina Marín García, under the direction of Arnau Vidal.

"DÀHLIA" tells the story of an android with an extraordinary capacity for self-learning, which at first has difficulty understanding abstract or symbolic concepts. The work challenges viewers to think about the nature of consciousness and whether an artificial entity can transcend its programmed limits to find a deeper meaning in its existence.

The production opens the debate on whether creativity is an exclusively human trait and whether artificial intelligence can develop its own identity and emotionality, and invites us to reflect on the relationship between humans and machines. In this sense, it raises the question of whether the ability of AI to generate creative content is a true manifestation of creativity or just a data-driven simulation.

The text of the hand programme and the image of the poster have been generated with artificial intelligence. However, the supervision of a real person was necessary to give coherence to this creation.

This play is the result of the work done by the Level 2 group of Theatrical Interpretation of the UAB Aula de Teatre. In this workshop, Arnau Vidal gives theatrical interpretation tools with the aim of deepening the process of creating a show. Through the reading and interpretation of texts, the construction of scenes and the creation of characters, the students acquire the basic technique needed to go on stage.
