Call for work placements for graduates: Robert Schuman Spring 2024 grants

Tuesday 31 October is the last day to apply for a 5-month grant offered by the European Parliament for work placements during the spring of 2024. Applicants must have graduated at least three months before starting the work placement. Two of the positions, belonging to communication sector, are available in Barcelona.

A total of 454 places are offered, 174 of which belong to the communication sector, two of which at the Office of the European Parliament in Barcelona.

Twice a year, the European Parliament opens a call for work placements for university graduates. The Schuman Traineeships help graduates complete the skills they acquire while studying and become familiar with different EU activities, and particularly those related to the European Parliament. traineeships are open to graduates from a wide range of specialisations interested in conducting tasks in communication, economy, law, translation and interpreting, administration, etc. 

The offices of the European Parliament in Spain offer five communication positions: two in Barcelona and three in Madrid. These will allow grantholders to discover the ins and outs of a press office, come into contact with members of the European Parliament, and closely monitor current events. All traineeships being offered for the spring of 2024 and application requirements can be consulted at the  home page of the European Parliament traineeship programme. Applicants must present their CV using the Europass format.

The traineeships last five months, from March to July. Candidates can choose a maximum of three traineeship positions when applying. All information of the application and selection process can be consulted here.

The call is open until midnight of 31 October. The traineeships include a monthly salary of 1,496 euros for those in Brussels and Luxembourg. For those applying for positions in Spain, the monthly salary is 1,457.10 euros. The programme also provides 250 euros for travels, and possible additional aids for people with disabilities.
