Buddy Programme is here!

The welcoming ceremony for the UAB Barcelona Summer School 2019 on 25 June will kick off the Buddy Programme for the fourth year in a row. After the ceremony, university will invite enrolled students to a coffee in which they will get the chance to interact with other students and have a first contact with the buddies, who will be their mentors during the several activities after lectures.

The figure of the buddy aims to favour interaction between local and international students taking part in the UAB Barcelona Summer School through participation and dynamization. A buddy is a local student who has been abroad for an Erasmus or UAB Exchange programme or who pretends to go abroad and want to live the international experience in UAB. 

UAB Barcelona Summer School will last six weeks (divided into two periods, from 25 June to 19 July and from 15 July to 2 August) in which international and local students will participate in different activities such as the Tandem, where they will get the chance to practice different languages, and attend workshops such as “Catalan from scratch”, organized by the UAB Languages Service. They will also be able to use the sports facilities in the SAF gym in university.
