Bicentenary of the decipherment of hieroglyphs
New Exhibition at the Humanities Library: Egyptian Language and Writing
The Institute of Ancient Near Eastern Studies of the UAB (IEPOA) organizes several activities to commemorate two important anniversaries that marked milestones in the history of Egyptology and human sciences in general: the deciphering of the Rosetta stone and the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb, two and a century ago, respectively. The Humanities Library collaborates on these events and with the Egyptian Language and Writings exhibition, to commemorate the Bicentenary of the decipherment of the hieroglyphs.
