Barcelona, 11th best city in the world for university students

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd) is dedicated to research on higher education. It produces a prestigious annual ranking to chose the 600 best universities in the world. QS has now published a new ranking of the best cities in the world for university students.
The ranking was carried out by gathering information on the cities and basing them on the data provided by the QS World University Ranking. Results highlight that Barcelona is home to the two most prestigious universities in Spain, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat de Barcelona, both ranking among the 200 best universities in the world in last year's university ranking. According to QS, the international reputation of Barcelona's graduates represents positive professional perspectives for students who choose to study in Catalonia's capital.
QS also highlights the fact that Barcelona is one of te most prosperous cities in Europe and that the cost of living is more reasonable than for example Paris or London, two cities topping the list. In addition, the economic cost for university students is comparable to France and Barcelona is characterised for being one of the affordable cities among the top classified cities of the ranking.
QS also values that factors such as lifestyle, climate, local gastronomy and the cultural and artistic richness of Barcelona make it one of the most attractive places in Europe to study and to live in.
