Argentina's INTI visits the UAB

The UAB received an institutional visit from delegates of the National Institute of Industrial Technology.

On 16 May, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona welcomed a delegation from the National Institute of Industrial Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial, INTI) from Argentina, a leading centre in  Latin America in the fields of Technology, industry and meteorology.

The objective of the visit was to be able jointly to evaluate the collaborations existing between the two academic centres. The current collaborations include students of INTI participating in courses of technological applications for biomedicine or in European research projects led by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, such as the Se4All or TRACEWINDU projects.

Members of the Argentinian delegation included Rubén Geneyro, Executive President of the institute; and Yamila Conti, Coordinator of Communication and Press, who met with Marta Prim, Director of the Department of Microelectronics and Electronic Systems; Manuel Valiente, Lecturer of the Department of Chemistry; and Ivan Martínez, Deputy Executive Administrator for Research. Also participating in the Meeting were Màrius Martínez, Vice Rector for International Relations; and Katja Schustakowitz and  Montserrat Alegre, Director and Technical Assistant of the Institutional-International Relations of the International Relations Area.

The National Institute of Industrial Technology is a leading technological, industrial and meteorological centre in Argentina. It forms part of the country’s Ministry for Productive Development, offering suport in technological matters, literacy programmes, innovation and development to the whole productive and social fabric of Argentina.
