And the winners of 'Your Exchange experience' photo contest are...

The photo contest awards ceremony took place on 26 April at the UAB on occasion of the third day of the series of #debatspublicaXXI debates which promoted student involvement. The student at the Faculty of Biosciences, Albert Pahissa, under the pseudonym Haizea, and the student at the Faculty of Communication Studies, Carina Salcedo, under the pseudonym Terra Salvada, were awarded the jury prize and the people’s choice prize respectively.

57 students submitted their proposals for the contest, a total of 86 pictures. There were two prizes: the jury prize and the people’s choice prize. Pahissa was awarded the jury prize for ‘La marxa’, a picture taken at the Lake Titicaca (Bolivia). Salcedo was awarded the people’s choice prize for ‘Llums i contrastos al desert’, a picture that portrays the Atacama Desert (Chile).
 
After all the entries submitted had been posted on a Facebook album at the Community Involvement Facebook page, people voted for their favourite picture. By the time the voting period was over, on 23 April, Salcedo’s entry had received 460 Likes.
 
The aim of the contest is to reflect relevant aspects of the exchange programmes, such as life and learning experiences and to encourage other students to take part in such programmes.
