10th Archimedes Science Research Competition

Requirements include having completed an undergraduate course from a Spanish university in the 2010/11 academic year. Applicants cannot have earned more than one university diploma.
Three special prizes worth 6,000 Euros each will be offered this year: the “International Year of Forests” award, the “Marie Curie” award to the best project in Chemistry or Chemical Technologies, and the award to the best project i the fields of Fine Arts, Music, Architecture or Graphic Ideation.
In addition to eight prizes (four offering 9,000 euros and four 6,000 Euro prizes) and five worth 2,000 euros; six awards to tutors, a special prize for the institution with the greatest number of selected projects, three prizes for research stays at CSIC centres, a prize for the best research memoir during a CSIC stay, several prizes for sponsors and a prize for the university hosting the competition.
Projects can be presented individually or in teams of maximum three people. Candidates have until 8 July to submit their projects.
The Archimedes Science Research Competition receives the support of the host university, of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and several public and private research institutions.
The final stage of the competition will be celebrated at the University of Valladolid.
