Dates and requirements to join the UAB's Stable Artistic Groups now available
The UAB opens the doors to new members wishing to join the Stable Artistic Groups in the 2025/26 academic year. The dates and requirements to audition to form part of the Choir, Chamber Choir, Orchestra and Stable Theatre Group are now available. If you are interested in forming part of a creative, collaborative project which can also earn you credits, the time to sign up is now.
All the information related to the entrance exams for the Stable Artistic Groups for the new 2025/26 academic year is now available on the wensite. Students interested in becoming a member of the Choir, Chamber Choir, Orchestra or Stable Theatre Group can now check the dates, time and specific requirements for each of these disciplines.
These groups are a unique opportunity for students to develop their artistic talent within the university environment, working with professionals of the sector and participating in performances both on and away from campus.
Important information about each group:

UAB Choir
Aimed at students with choral or musical experience, the UAB Choir performs a variety of classical, modern and popular music pieces. Rehearsals take place weekly and concerts are offered throughout the academic year. -
Chamber Choir
Here members have more experience and vocal training, since the group works with a demanding repertoire and in a reduced format. Becoming a member requires passing specific level exams and an interview with the musical director. -
UAB Orchestra
Open to students who can play an instrument, particularly string and wind instruments. A good technical level and experience in similar types of formations is a plus. There are regular rehearsals and concerts are offered each season. -
Stable Theatre Group
This group is perfect for drama students and those interested in participating in theatrical productions directed by professionals. Entrance exams include a group work session. It is recommended that those interested have experience in the scenic arts.
How to participate
To become a member of any of these groups, you will need to:
- Have availability to attend rehearsals and programmed activities.
- Meet the group's specific requirements.
- Pass the entrance exam and/or interview with the artistic directors.
