Guanyadores del Premi

The Xartec Salut research network held an innovation hackathon entitled "Hacking the Future of HealthTech", which formed part of the HealthTech 2030 Summit and included a series of conferences to bring together the community of innovators which has transformed Barcelona into an internationally renowned HealthTech hub.

The hackathon took place at the UPC's Northern Campus. The event was organised for programmers to meet and work together on the development of software. On this occasion, the objective was to propose a solution to current health challenges in the areas related to rare diseases, mental health and childhood cancers.

The winning group's proposal focused on an evidence-based tool called Burtoola, which connects clinical information and patient-reported outcomes (PROM) with the objective of reducing professional burnout among university students. This proposal was chosen over the other 14 multidisciplinary groups also presenting proposals. The prize for the winning group consists in the opportunity to participate in mentorships with possible sponsors to develop the project further and advance towards the proof-of-concept phase.
