Seminar on Medieval Archeaology: Anthropology Without Bones

The Agricultural Archaeology of the Middle Ages (ARAEM) research group organises aseminar on medieval archaeology entitled "Antropologia sense ossos". The seminar will be held on 3 and 5 October, in Room B7/1056 of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. The seminar will also be available online on the Teams platform both on 3 October and on 5 October.

On 3 October, the seminar will begin at 3 p.m. with a brief presentation and the conferences "Haced de vuestra desventaja la mejor de las fortalezas: investigando esqueletos en suelos ácidos de Galicia y Finlandia", by Olalla López (from the  University of Santiago de Compostela), and "Ten years of exploring diet and society in Medieval Iberia using stable isotope techniques", which will be given by Michelle Alexander (University of York).

On 5 October, also at 3 p.m., the seminar will continue with conferences by Zaira García (University of Santiago de Compostela), entitled "Del polvo venimos y en polvo nos convertiremos. El necrosol", and by Marina Soares da Silva (The Francis Crick Institute).
