International colloquium on the research into the Spanish Civil War and Francoist Repression

On 20 and 21 November an international colloquium entitled “Cap a una infraestructura digital de recerca sobre la Guerra Civil Espanyola i la repressió franquista” will take place. Organised by the CEDID-UAB in collaboration with the Arkansas State University (A-State), the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and with the support of the UAB Faculty of Arts & Humanities, the event will be offered in a hybrid format, with attendance at the faculty's conference hall and speeches online. 

Three sessions will be given focusing on three different issues. The first will be dedicated to the historical memory and digital mediation, entitled “Memòria i mediació digital”, and will be offered by Ricard Conesa, member of the European Observatory on Memories (EUROM); the second, on archives in the digital era, “Els arxius en l’era digital", will be given by  Pau Casanellas, member of the CEDID-UAB; and the third session on databases containing information on the repression suffered under Franco's regime, is entitled “Bases de dades sobre la repressió” and will be given by Carme Molinero, also member of the CEDID-UAB.
