First meeting on molecular mechanisms of PDK1 and Akt/PKB

On 16, 17 and 18 March, the “First Focused Meeting on Molecular Mechanisms of PDK1 and Akt/PKB” congress will take place. The event was organised in part by José R. Bayacas, researcher at the UAB Institute of Neuroscience and José Lizcano, lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and researcher of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR).

The congress will offer several sessions by professionals from around the world as well debates. The first three sessions will take place on 16 March: “25 Years of PDK1-PKB/Akt”, “Molecular Mechanisms of Regulation I”, and “Molecular Mechanisms in Diseases: Cancer, Diabetes and Beyond”. On 17 March the sessions “Molecular Mechanisms of Regulation II”, “Substrate Targeting Mechanisms”, “Clinical Trials” and “Innovative Drug and Allostery” will take place. And on the last day a final debate will be held to talk about research methods.
