UAB student's final project on suicide prevention in prison receives award from Catalan universities
UAB journalism student Mariona Montserrat Comellas was awarded one of the prizes for best final project (TFG) in the area of health promotion related to the SDGs by the Catalan Network of Healthy Universities, with a project on suicide prevention in the Quatre Camins prison. The final project consisted in recording a video based on the experiences and stories of prisoners who transmit a realistic and positive message.
Over 1000 people participate in the UAB Solidarity Race for La Marató de TV3
Over 1,000 people participated in the 12th edition of the Solidarity Race to raise funds for La Marató de TV3, which took place on Sunday 17 December. The race was organised by the UAB and the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council, with the collaboration and sponsorship of the Applus+ Laboratories, the University of Barcelona (UB) and the EMD Bellaterra. Tools for advancing towards a mentally healthy research career
UAB researchers have published The Third Half, towards the creation of healthier research careers, a compendium of international articles on mental health problems and well-being management affecting young researchers and on evidence-based strategies to help promote positive mental health and reduce stigma. These strategies include the University programme "Tercer Temps", which has been running successfully for the past three years.

On Monday 18 December at 1:30 p.m., the Theatre Hall of the Plaça Cívica will host the traditional Christmas concert of the UAB, under the title "El so de la llum" [The Sound of Light], with performances by the Choir, the Chamber Choir and the University Orchestra.
