The UAB opens its doors to future students from 31 January to 2 February
Once again, the UAB is organising its Open Days to make its academic programmes known to future students, who will be able to download information on scholarships and aids, international mobility and internships in companies.

A UAB research sheds light on poverty's official figures
According to UAB researchers, official poverty indicators – which show a shy increase from 20% to 22% in the 2004-2014 period – does not adequately reflect recent changes in the Spanish economy caused by the crisis. When the threshold of poverty levels in 2009 is used, the number of poor people between 2010 and 2014 go from 10.2 to 14.7 millions, an increase of 45%.
Women in Data Science Conference at the UAB
The UAB will be the only retransmission point in Catalonia of the Women in Data Science conference, celebrated at Stanford University and simultaneously at 25 other locations around the globe on 3 February.
The UAB expands its offer to cover four new MOOCs
This year, the UAB will offer new Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC), available on Coursera, the world's leading platform for online courses. The four new courses focus on persuasion, finances, sustainability and heritage of the Valley of the Kings.
The UAB ranks second in Spain in high impact publications according to FECYT
In the past report "Indicadors Bibliomètrics de l’Activitat Científica Espanyola 2005-2014" by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, the UAB was listed as the second university in Spain after the UB in number of cited publications.
